We are delighted to welcome Nicky Philpott, who joins UKHACC as its new Director on 7 January.

Nicky takes over form Laurie Laybourn-Langton who leaves us on 11 January.

Nicky has previously worked in various UK charities including the NSPCC and Age UK, leading on campaigning, policy and public affairs, communications and fundraising. Most recently she was Director of Advocacy and Engagement at the Ramblers, where she led efforts to open up cities, towns and the countryside for walkers. She spent the summer as a consultant for a large foundation, looking in-depth at strategies and programmes on climate change.

Nicky said:

“I’m delighted to be appointed as Director for the UKHACC and look forward to joining the team. I hope to continue the excellent work already undertaken by the Alliance, its members and its supporters.

“At this crucial time, it is vital that we continue to work together and do all we can to make a real impact on the climate and health agenda.”
